小御嶽神社のお守り An Omamori from Komitake Shrine

The entrance to Komitake Shrine at Mt. Fuji's fifth station

The day I visited Mt. Fuji's fifth station, it was raining and cloudy. I wandered and took a few pictures, then huddled inside a noodle shop. I would like to climb Mt. Fuji, but that didn't happen on that rainy day, unfortunately.

On the bright side — pun intended — I did get a unique omamori. At Komitake Shrine I purchased an omamori in the shape of a bottle filled with volcanic pebbles. I pushed my way through the crowds in the shrine to purchase. The pebbles come from the slopes of Mt. Fuji, and it is supposed to bring bearers good fortune.
